Following the signing of the strategic framework agreement between the two sides in Rugao in June this year, the signing of the technical cooperation agreement, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Metals and Li Xing ceramic ball team will be characterized by the application of silicon nitride powder ceramic ball bearings in precision machine tools, spindles, fluid vacuum pumps, new energy vehicles from the research and development, manufacturing to the landing of the solution, and actively connect the upstream and downstream industry chain, to open up the imported machine tools, such as the bottleneck of the process, breakthroughs in the existing technological bottlenecks to improve product performance, and to broaden the field of application. Enhance product performance and broaden application areas. The technical teams of both sides also discussed the possibility of future co-creation in the fields of industrial screws and humanoid robots, low-altitude drones, and spindle bearings for domestic shield machines. The two sides agreed to prepare for the establishment of a joint R&D center between Lixing Group and Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Set up “post-doctoral mobile workstation” in the headquarter of Lixing and its branches in Nanyang and Ningbo. To cultivate a reserve of high-tech future talents combining theory and practice for the enterprise and the institute.

Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences has profound technical accumulation and strong scientific research strength in the field of materials science. Through the formal signing of this technical agreement, the two sides will rely on their respective technical advantages and resources to build a research and development platform, carry out joint research and accelerate the pace of transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Through close cooperation and unremitting efforts, we aim to promote the leapfrog development of China's silicon nitride ceramic ball bearing technology and contribute to the transformation and upgrading of “Made in China” to “Created in China”. Conspire on the future development of the industry
Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Institute of Metals) was founded in 1953 as one of the first research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) after the founding of China, founded by Mr. Li Xun, a renowned physical metallurgist in China. The Institute of Metals is an important postgraduate training base for materials science and engineering in China, with one doctoral degree program in materials science and engineering, one master's degree program in materials science and engineering, and four doctoral and master's degree programs in materials physics and chemistry, materials science, materials processing engineering, and corrosion science and protection, as well as one postdoctoral mobile station in materials science and engineering. In 2015, the Institute of Metals joined hands with the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) to establish the School of Materials Science and Engineering, which is dedicated to cultivating leading talents in the field of materials. There are more than 1,000 postgraduate students in the Institute of Metals, during which they can get in touch with the frontiers of materials science, participate in major research projects, and train their research skills and improve their innovation ability in scientific research practice. The Institute of Metals has various key equipments for materials preparation and processing, structural analysis and characterization, performance testing and evaluation, and computational simulation of multi-level processes, which provide technical support for materials science and technology research. The Institute of Metals hosts and organizes six core journals in the field of materials, among which, Journal of Metals and JMST have become important academic journals in the field of materials in China.
