Stainless steel ball is stainless steel forging process production of steel balls, commonly used stainless steel ball materials are 201, 302, 304, 316, 316L, 420, 440C. steel ball manufacturers say the production process of stainless steel ball:
Stretching (wire drawing): the wire is stretched to the required wire diameter by wire drawing machine.
Cold heading (forging): The drawn wire is put into the steel ball cold heading machine, and is upset into ball embryo by the steel mold in the machine.
Light ball: the two cast iron ball grinding plates in the light ball machine will file the cold heading ball embryo under pressure to remove the outer ring band and points on the ball embryo.
Soft ball: two cast iron grinding plates in the soft ball machine will file the light ball embryo to make the ball embryo grinding into the required ball diameter and surface roughness.
Heat treatment: the ball is loaded into the heat treatment furnace to be carburized and quenched and then tempered so that the ball has a certain carburization layer and hardness, toughness and crushing load.

Hard Grinding: The grinding wheel round plate in the grinder will grind the heat treatment ball embryo under pressure to remove the black oxidized layer on the surface of the ball and correct the accuracy of the ball.
