Release time:
Nov 14,2025
On November 13, the supply chain and JGBR teams of GKN Group, a global leader in automotive powertrain and chassis systems, held their annual strategic meeting at GKN’s headquarters in Shanghai. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on future strategic cooperation plans, focusing on the integration of driveline and chassis system resources following the merger of GKN and American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM). They also jointly explored cooperation opportunities under the new landscape of the global automotive industry’s transition to new energy sources.
As a globally renowned leader in drivetrain solutions, GKN has long been focused on innovative R&D and manufacturing in key areas such as automotive drivetrains, aerospace equipment, and construction machinery.
Since establishing a strategic partnership in 2004, Lixing Group has leveraged its technological expertise and manufacturing strengths in the precision components sector to provide GKN Driveline with high-quality joint bearing solutions. Repeatedly honored as GKN Driveline’s “Outstanding Supplier” of the year, Lixing Group has gradually become a key strategic partner in GKN’s global supply chain system. Currently, it is the only domestic rolling element manufacturer to have entered GKN’s global procurement network. The two companies have forged a solid, mutually beneficial, and win-win cooperative relationship.
Against the backdrop of the global automotive industry accelerating its transformation toward new energy and AI-powered intelligent driving, both parties will engage in deeper cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, quality enhancement, and supply-chain optimization, jointly addressing the challenges and seizing the opportunities brought about by industrial transformation. At the same time, they will explore synergies from the vertical integration of the global supply chain following the AAM merger, as well as the capabilities to develop derivative products such as steering systems, chassis components, and screw-joint modules.
This strategic dialogue not only reinforces the existing achievements of cooperation between the two sides but also maps out a global, localized development path for the Americas, Europe, and Asia, paving the way for long-term collaboration in the future. It provides Lixing with clear market channels to support its strategy of building a global brand for automotive and new-energy vehicle components.
