The 2025 High-Quality Development Conference for the Rolling Element Industry was successfully held in Rugao.

On October 31, the “2025 High-Quality Development Conference for the Rolling Element Industry,” hosted by the Technical Committee of the China Bearing Industry Association and co-organized by Lixing Group and the Luoyang Bearing Research Institute, was held in Rugao.
The conference aims to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, strengthen technological exchanges and cooperation within the industry, and focus on the strategic development direction and priorities for rolling element components. Driven by the goal of fostering and developing new-quality productive forces, the conference is committed to establishing a collaborative platform for exchange and supply-demand matching in the rolling element industry.
Zhou Yu, Chairman of the China Bearing Industry Association, Wang Chunhua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Rugao Municipal Party Committee, Sun Xiao, Chairman of the Jiangsu Province Bearing Industry Association, and leaders from the Luoyang Bearing Research Institute, along with more than 160 enterprises including Lixing Group, Shandong Dong'a Steel Ball Group, Wafangdian Bearing Group, and Luoyang Bearing Group, jointly attended the event.
On-site, representatives from various participating organizations engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as rolling element materials, manufacturing technologies, standards, and inspection methods, and listened to a lecture on failure case analyses of rolling elements. They also conducted extensive exchanges on cutting-edge topics including new materials, new technologies, new processes, new equipment, and AI-based inspection technologies for rolling elements.
Shi Xianggui, Chairman of Lixing Group, stated: As the largest domestic manufacturer of rolling elements, we have always regarded technological innovation as the primary driving force behind our development. We are actively expanding into emerging fields such as high-precision ceramic balls, wind-turbine-specific rollers, and robot transmission lead screws, striving to contribute to the self-reliance, controllability, safety, and reliability of China’s bearing industry chain through more advanced technologies and even more precise products.
Zhou Yu, Chairman of the China Bearing Industry Association, pointed out that rolling elements, as the core components of bearings, directly affect the overall level and competitiveness of the bearing industry chain in terms of their precision, performance, and reliability. He emphasized that high-quality development of the industry must rely on solid technological advancements and rigorous quality management. At the same time, efforts should be accelerated to establish and improve industry standards and testing methods that align with international advanced levels, thereby promoting a greater awareness of quality throughout the entire industry.
Wang Chunhua, a member of the Standing Committee of the Rugao Municipal Party Committee, extended his congratulations on the successful convening of the conference. In his speech, he emphasized that high-end equipment manufacturing is one of Rugao’s key industrial development priorities. As a locally nurtured single-champion enterprise in manufacturing, Lixing Group has made outstanding contributions to the upgrading of local industries and economic development. Rugao City will continue to optimize its business environment and support high-quality enterprises like Lixing to deepen their focus on their core businesses and foster innovative development.
Jiang Wei, General Manager of the Luoyang Bearing Research Institute, said: To drive the upgrading of the rolling element industry, we must address at the root the key common technical challenges related to materials, processes, and testing. As the core force behind technological R&D in the industry, the Institute will continue to focus on fundamental research into rolling element materials and overcoming bottlenecks in manufacturing processes, transforming cutting-edge scientific findings into real productive capacity and providing solid technological support for enhancing the overall competitiveness of China's rolling element industry.
Sun Xiao, Chairman of the Jiangsu Province Bearing Industry Association, proposed that the future development of the industry should focus on "high-end, sophisticated, and specialized" technologies, address shortcomings in key areas, and enhance the core competitiveness of products. At the same time, it is essential to strengthen collaborative innovation, promote deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application, and consistently leverage digital and intelligent technologies to transform and upgrade traditional industries and foster new forms of productive forces.
During the conference, the Technical Committee’s Rolling Element Expert Committee of the China Bearing Industry Association was officially established. This move will greatly promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, providing core think-tank support for industrial policy formulation and the tackling of key technological challenges.
The convening of this conference represents an important initiative to integrate industry resources, focus on critical shortcomings, and drive the upgrading and transformation of the industrial foundation, thereby injecting new momentum into the building of a powerful bearing nation.
