Warmest congratulations: The inaugural meeting of the newly elected Rolling Element Sub-Technical Committee of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Rolling Bearings, along with its first session of the second term, was successfully held in Rugao (Jiangsu Lixing).

Recently, the Inaugural Meeting of the Rotor Subcommittee of the National Rolling Bearing Standardization Technical Committee—and its First Session of the Second Term—was held from December 11 to 13, 2024, at the Conference Center of the Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel in Rugao City, Jiangsu Province. The meeting was hosted by Jiangsu Lixing Universal Steel Ball Co., Ltd., the organization serving as the secretariat. More than 60 participants attended the meeting, including members of the Rotor Subcommittee,特邀 guests, standard drafters, secretariat staff, and representatives from companies in Rugao.
On the morning of December 12, Zhao Binhai, Deputy Chairman of the National Rolling Bearing Standardization Technical Committee; Li Feixue, Deputy Secretary-General; Chen Aihua, a fourth-level researcher at the Standardization Management Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation; Tao Jian, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Nantong Municipal Administration for Market Regulation; Zhu Zhirong, Director of the Standardization Management Division; Wang Minghao, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Rugao City; Tang Linlin, Vice Mayor of the Rugao Municipal People's Government; Xue Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Rugao High-tech Development Zone; Liu Jiejun, Party Secretary and Director of the Rugao Municipal Administration for Market Regulation; Yang Lijuan, Chief Engineer; Zhang Ye, Second-Level Principal Officer; and Shi Xianggui, Chairman of Jiangsu Lixing Universal Steel Ball Co., Ltd., were invited to attend the meeting.
The meeting began with a speech by Wang Minghao, Deputy Secretary of the Rugao Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of the Municipal Government.
Mayor Wang Minghao stated that in recent years, with the rapid advancement of technology and the deepening of globalization, the importance of standardization has become increasingly prominent. Our city has consistently placed standardization strategies at the forefront, continuously promoting the formulation, revision, and implementation of standards to provide strong support for economic and social development. Meanwhile, standardization efforts have achieved remarkable results in enhancing product quality, fostering industrial upgrading, and ensuring public safety. The concept of standardization has now taken deep root in Rugao, and standardization reform and innovation are being widely carried out there. He firmly believes that this conference will play a positive role in further advancing Rugao’s work on rolling-element standardization.
Wang Shifeng, Chairman of the Rolling Element Sub-Technical Committee of the National Rolling Bearing Standardization Committee and Senior Engineer at the Professor Level at Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd., delivered a summary report on the work of the first session on behalf of the National Rolling Bearing Sub-Committee.
Chen Aihua, a fourth-level researcher at the Standardization Management Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, read out the approval document for the renewal of the subcommittee.
Leaders attending the meeting, including Tang Linlin, Vice Mayor of Rugao Municipal Government, presented appointment letters to the newly elected committee members.
Zhao Gaoming, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Lixing Universal Steel Ball Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the unit responsible for the secretariat of the subcommittee.
Tao Jian, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Nantong Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, delivered a speech.
Deputy Director Tao Jian fully affirmed the achievements of Rugao’s standardization reform and innovation, and put forward three requirements for Lixing Steel Ball—the secretariat unit of the subcommittee: First, fulfill the responsibilities of the secretariat and actively promote communication and collaboration among committee members; second, remain steadfastly at the forefront of technological advancements, focus on key areas, accelerate the development and application of advanced standards, and foster deep integration between standards and technological innovation, using high standards to drive high-quality development; third, strengthen the building of a standardized talent pool, actively cultivate professional personnel with an international perspective who are proficient in standard formulation and management, thereby providing solid talent support for the sustained development of the standardization cause.
Speech by Zhao Binhai, Deputy Chairman of the National Rolling Bearing Standards Committee
In his speech, Deputy Director Zhao Binhai fully affirmed the achievements of the first Sub-Committee and analyzed the current situation in standardization efforts. At the same time, he put forward new requirements for the Sub-Committee’s next phase of work. He expressed the hope that the newly elected Rolling Element Sub-Committee would take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its guiding principle, actively fulfill its duties, uphold integrity while fostering innovation, and accelerate the establishment of a rolling bearing standards system that aligns with a high-standard market framework. The Sub-Committee should also coordinate and promote international, national, and industry standardization efforts in a comprehensive manner, using high standards to speed up the building of a country strong in science and technology, manufacturing, and quality. To achieve high-quality development in the bearing industry, the Sub-Committee is called upon to embrace innovation, remain resolute and enterprising, work closely together, move forward steadily, and fully embark on a new journey of rolling element standardization!
During the afternoon session on December 12, Li Feixue, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Rolling Bearing Standards Committee, delivered a high-standard, specialized technical lecture to the newly appointed members of the Subtechnical Committees. Ma Lin, an expert member of the Subtechnical Committee, read out the "Articles of Association for the Second Session of the Rolling Element Subtechnical Committee of the National Rolling Bearing Standardization Technical Committee" and the "Detailed Rules of Procedure for the Secretariat." In addition, the attending delegates engaged in discussions on standards, solicited opinions, and proposed projects for the development and revision of rolling element industry standards planned for 2025.
Jiangsu Lixing Universal Steel Ball Co., Ltd., as the undertaking unit of the Rolling Element Sub-Technical Committee under the National Rolling Bearing Standardization Technical Committee, will continue to perform its core duties as the host organization of the sub-committee and actively cooperate with all arrangements made by the sub-committee. We will further strengthen our internal development, enhance the overall quality of our team, closely monitor industry trends and policy changes, and promptly adjust our work strategies and methods to better support the central tasks of the sub-committee. Guided by the nation’s vision of high-quality development, the Rolling Element Sub-Technical Committee of the National Rolling Bearing Standardization Technical Committee will continue to move forward hand in hand, intensifying efforts in standard development and the adaptation of internationally advanced standards, promoting technological innovation, deepening exchanges and cooperation, and contributing even more to the development of the national rolling element sector.
